  We recently visited Paris again and is our custom we hit the ground running even if it is midnight at home.  We like to walk and explore our new neighborhood to get our bearings locate cafes boulangeries groceries and if lucky maybe a Starbucks.
  
  Our new home was a beautiful little Airbnb in the fabulous Place du Edourd VII in the 9th A near Le Opera.  We strolled through our hood with its beautiful old buildings finding the theatre with a play running cafes shops and the Musee du Parfum.
  
  This was going to be fun!
  
  We walked up Rue Madeleine to a familiar sight L'eglise de la Madeleine (see review) and the luxury Fauchon store the square and Cafe Madeleine Maille mustard shop and the famous Lucas Carton restaurant ($$$$).
  
  As we walked back we found a Monop' convenience store for our breads cheeses meats and wine (dinner under €10).  Next door we discovered our new home cafe Le Paris London.  We entered as it was a bit too brisk to join the others seated outside happily under the heat lamps.  Quickly seated at a very nice table we could see out and we could watch our outdoor French friends...perfect.
  
  A very nice waiter Laurent was quickly at our table providing a carafe of cool water and willing to answer all of our questions to my wife in French and me in English.  The two chatted a bit (not sure what about) and we ordered a kir and a glass of red for me.  He returned quite soon with our drinks and we ordered poulet frite and soupe a' l'onion.  After pleasantly talking a little more about us his wife and our families Paris colleges and more off he went.  
  
  After a short time our plates arrived looking beautiful and smelling fabulous.  My wife loved her traditional poulet frite (I got a couple bites) and my soup was perfectly hot cheesy and delicious. I even passed it to her.  As it was now our middle of the night with our tummies full and warm inside we were fading.  
  
  Laurent checked on us often then showed and explained the nearby dessert cabinet.
  My wife chose a parfait of frommage blanc walnuts and cinnamon...nice yummy finish.
  
  We returned several times for food and cafe however apparently not on Laurent's shifts. However we will come back next time if only to say hi.
  
  When you visit Paris you will want to see Le Madeleine.  We suggest a short walk down the Rue Madeleine to cafe Le Paris London. Sit have a cafe and maybe a meal and say hi to Laurent for us.

  FREE WIFI They speak English and are very accommodating to alter their dishes to accommodate the American pallet. Great service, great location, with easy nearby parking!  Also mere steps from the Metro

  Horrible food
  I guess it's Paris!!!
  Service was ok but I would not come back.
  We ordered pizza with mushrooms and the mushrooms but uncooked /raw on the pizza. The dough was not even cooked.

  As others have mentioned, the service was not amazing. However, the food definitely made up for it.
  
  My friends and I stumbled across this place while we were trying to find a place to escape the snow. The ordering was definitely slow, and trying to get a waiter's attention took a bit.
  
  We ordered the Porn Star martini, and it was FANTASTIC. It tasted very light and foamy, with a fruity taste. It comes with a shot of champagne and had dragonfruit in the middle. The cocktail was pricey, but I wouldn't say that I felt like I had wasted money.
  
  Definitely get the Escargot and the duck. The snails are extra large and flavored with pesto. AMAZING, and definitely the best snails we had during our stay in paris.
  
  The Duck literally slides off the bone, and is so tender. I really enjoyed it, although I felt it was a bit salty.
  
  The chicken risotto was my least favourite out of dishes we ordered. My friend said it was her favourite one, so I think it was simply a difference in taste. I loved the risotto, but I didn't think the chicken was anything special.
  
  Overall, don't pay too much attention to the reviews on yelp. I purposely try not to look up yelp reviews when I'm in Paris because I find the experience to be much different than the star rating.

  Our flight arrived in Paris early afternoon and since neither of us had slept on the plane, we were totally out when we arrived at our hotel around 3pm local time. We tried napping for a couple of hours before going out to grab dinner. Despite our best intentions, we didn't wake up until close to 8pm and by then, most kitchens were already closed for food service (unbeknownst to us). We walked around the Madeleine area for probably 45 minutes before we gave up and return to the hotel, asking them to please help us find somewhere to eat. They recommended this place.
  
  When we finally walked there, they were in the process of closing but the server was nice enough to let us order dinner as long as we didn't take too long. We looked through the menu, mostly sandwiches and burgers, and decided on a croque-madame burger and a BLT. The burger was super juicy from both the patty itself and the drippy egg yolk. The bacon on both of our orders seemed undercooked although after having bacon in a couple of other dishes while in Paris, it seemed like that was the norm. The fries were crispy. Overall, it wasn't bad, but nothing memorable. It was fairly pricey for what it included.
  
  The server spoke pretty good English and chatted with us a bit about where we were from. I loved the inside of the cafe since it was so dimly lit at night, with the white and black checkered floor, tiled wall accents, and your average Parisian cafe chairs and tables.
